Hannah was raised in the SOHO neighborhood of New York City surrounded by artists and activists. Taking both to heart in her professional life she founded Intention Media, a company committed to creativity for social good.

Since serving as Hillary Clinton’s personal videographer for her 2008 presidential campaign, Hannah has produced and directed media for dozens of women candidates, progressive campaigns and elected officials. Her feature film work includes directing and producing the critically-acclaimed film SURGE, a feature documentary that premiered on SHOWTIME in September 2020 and is now streaming on both SHOWTIME and Amazon. She has produced for National Geographic TV, the Sundance Channel, and the History Channel (including her favorite job ever on the Peabody Award-winning “Voices of Civil Rights”). Hannah produced the award-winning PUPPET film that premiered at DOC NYC Festival and was distributed on Netflix, iTunes and Sundance Selects.

Hannah was awarded a prestigious JustFilms Fellowship from the Ford Foundation and the Rockwood Leadership Institute for leaders working at the intersection of storytelling, media & social justice. Hannah was a National Organizer for the Women’s March on Washington and directed “Prepare to March” the most successful social video in terms of views and likes leading up to the march in 2017. Besides making films, Hannah is an Adjunct Professor of "Digital Media & Health" at Hunter College in NYC. She has an masters in public health from Columbia University and a BA from Oberlin College.
